I, Nerys Neath, being the Deputy Returning Officer for the UWE
Students’ Union, hereby give notice that the following students have
been nominated and validated as candidates for Students’ Union Officers
Elections March 2005.
VOTING to take place on line www.uwesu.net/elections from 11am Monday 7th March to 11am Friday 11th March.
Annual Conference
The sovereign body of the National Union of Students is the Annual Conference and it takes place each spring.
UWESU affiliates to the National Union of Students and therefore is
Constituent Member and entitled to elect a delegation of up to 11
student members to attend the Annual Conference.
This year conference is to be held in Blackpool from the 5th to the 7th of April.
National Conference sets the policy of NUS. Motions are
submitted under the following headings Education, Welfare, Union
Development, Global Citizenship, Reform and Miscellaneous. Elections
are held for the offices of the National Executive and Steering
Committees.
If you wish to stand for election to be part of the delegation from the
University of the West of England Students’ Union to attend National
Conference you must submit a completed nomination form by noon on March
17th! Each elected delegate must also submit a written report after
Conference to be published on the web pages.
