There are also spaces for the following weekend, the 7th and 8th of Novemeber for everyone who cannot make this weekend.
TRANSPORT:
I have a 17 seater minibus boked for you all, which leaves UWE Frenchay Bus stop at 08:45 – we will not be waiting as we have strict deadlines to keep at the club! Take my mobile number and ring me if you get into difficulty.
If any one is driving up from the centre of Bristol to UWE and would be happy to pick up any centrally based students, please email me on lr.smll@gmail.com, so that I can organise transport.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:
- Your stamped NUS card – no card or no stamp… no gliding, its for your insurance.
- £5 for fuel cost towards hired mini bus.
- £1.50 to buy a log book
- £3.50 for a book which has everything you need to know about gliding (not a compulsory purchase, just recomended)
- £20 (ish) for flights (each flight is £6.50, you will get at least one flight, weather depending, so to be on the safe side, bring more!)
- £5.00 (ish) for food (I am arranging bacon butties in the morning, and some awesome soup for lunch. This is not yet confirmed, but I hope to be confirming later on this week. Either way, there is food for purchase, such as ginsters pies, chocolate bars and flap jacks. You could also bring your own food if you wish)
- £Drinking money, if you wish to indulge at the bar..!
- A training record sheet, which we will give you on the day. This needs to be stapled inside your log book
- A safety checklist, again we will provide this sheet, which needs to go in your log book.
- A pen/paper, ideal for note making during the induction
- Lots of warm clothes – it can get windy and cold – bring more clothes, as you can always take them off!
- Camera – to show all your friends what you’ve been up to
- Sunglasses/aviators
BIG HINT - PLEASE bring your money you require in small change, i.e. not £10 & £20 notes, bring a handful of pound coins and fivers. There is very little in change available at the club.

Hi guys!
Really enjoyed the flights today and I’m certainly looking forward to the next trip up. I will be uploading photos from today’s (the Halloween Flights) in my photobucket site soon. Do check back often to see them!

Cheers!
P.S. I know I’m no Andrew Hunt (Airliners.net) and I can’t be everywhere at everytime. So, do pardon me on the somewhat limited coverage and quality of the shots I have for you guys today.
