INDUCTION WEEKEND – Sat 31st Oct & Sun 1st Nov
For all those that turned up to be inducted, well done! We now have 26 people all fully briefed and ready to fly. The weather was ideal on Saturday, where 14 people flew, some even twice! The weather was not good enough on Sunday, but congrats to everyone who hauled themselves out of bed for the induction, especially after Halloween antics that somehow turned Bristol into an unearthed graveyard.
Notable antics – Rhys and his “sunglasses make things darker” and “you’re older than my sister” comments, (get these quotes on the Facebook group… UWE GLIDING 2009/10!) …along with Sundays puddle driving efforts, where I’m sure its NOT road kill splattered over the back of the bus. Its jam.. or something amphibian.

FIRST FLYING WEEKENDS & WEDNESDAYS!
If you have been inducted, you can fly on Wednesday the 11th of Nov, or Sat 14th, or Sunday 15th. You will be able to get your name down for these days exactly one week before the trip.. I will send an email out letting you know. It is a FIRST COME FIRST SERVED basis… please make sure that this email goes to the address you check the most – I dont want you missing out!

Message from our Social Sec… We will meet at 20:00 in Wetherspoons – next to the triangle. Post Code is BS8 1QE (google it!) Basically, its at the top of Park Street and on the left (as you are facing up Park Street. We will chill there and share banter, then those who wish to stay/are poor can stay and those who want to go get your freak on can jog up to Joe Publics. P.S. To anyone in future who has to cancel, either on the morning of the trip or the night before, please send a text to the trip organsiser, in this case, me. Your space could go to someone else.
P.P.S. Disappointingly, some people took log books and handbooks without paying for them. This means that the club gets charged, reducing our total budget and affecting what transport we can pay for.
