Check if the weather is good to fly and the club is operating – before you travel!

If you are taking people to the club, check the weather an hour before leaving so that you make a decision on the weather, and let the everyone else know you will/wont be going. Otherwise people will make their way to the pick up point, usually Frenchay bus stop… and are let down. This is particularly inconvenient for early morning travellers, so let them know!

If you can see the bus and gliders out, it probably means they are flying, or if the weather is superb and you cant see bus/gliders, they are flying from the other ends of the runway where the camera doesn’t point.

The office is staffed by the receptionist, Pat Gilmore who normally works from 10 am to 3 pm on weekdays. At other times you can ring either number where a club member should be able to help you with general enquries.

Someone should pick up, if they don’t, and the weather is good, they are all probably flying. If weather is bad, they are probably at home!
