If you wish to play for UWE, there are 3 things you must do:

Firstly, you must pay the £35 joining fee either at the Freshers Fair (Friday 28th September), online or at the fourth floor at the finance office at Frenchay Campus.

I know that £35 does sound like a lot of money, but you really are getting your monies worth here girls. I must emphasise firstly that this is the tiniest fraction of what you would normally pay if you belonged to a non-university club. There, you would end up spending well over £100 per season on affiliation costs, training costs and matches, and at UWE you get so much more than this for the small cost of £35.

Your membership fee includes:

  • Training Venue

  • Match costs

  • Travel to and from games

  • Insurance

  • Affiliation to England Netball

  • Free 1st aid courses

  • Free umpire courses

  • Free People Carrier test

  • Free Minibus Test

  • Discounted clothing/access to online shop

Secondly, you have to take the receipt you receive to the fifth floor where you will get the back of your NUS card stamped with NETBALL. (This is essential as you will not be able to leave UWE for away games without this being done.)

Thirdly,You also need to register with  the SU. This can be done on uweonline at  www.uwesu.org/register

The above must be completed before trials as the Centre for Sport (venue for trials and training on Frenchay Campus) will check upon arrival. Failure to do so will mean that you are not insured for any injuries that you could incur.

If unsuccessful, a full refund is available upon request from the fifth floor of the SU at Frenchay, within 20 working days of payment.
