UWE Netball Club

UWE Netball 1^st are 1 of 3 UWE Teams to hold a Premiership Position, and after finishing their first year in the South Premiership Division, they have drawn some promising results against the top Universities in the Country.

The year has proven to be challenging yet given the 1^st team the more competitive games they were looking for, having being undefeated for 2 years prior to their entry into the Premier division.

UWE Netball 2nd finished 3rd and UWE Netball 3rds finished 5th with some amazing team performances through out the season.

The Varsity Series in April 2009 highlighted that the UWE 1^st deserved to remain in the Premiership division after thrashing rivals: Bristol University. Bristol have recently been promoted into the Premiership division too so this game proved how far we have come, and the competition Bristol need to be ready for!

It was a close fight for UWE 2nd &3rd teams with them narrowly missing out on varsity wins.

It is our mission to build on our success throughout 2009/2010 and push for the promotion of both UWE Netball 2nd’s and UWE Netball 3rds.

The Social Sports Netball League has continued to improve throughout 08/09 and is now bigger and better then ever. We are looking to maintain the high numbers of participating players throughout 09/10 so that it continues to grow and evolve with the rest of the Netball Club.
