The social side of UWE Netball is one of the best at the University. Every Wednesday after a tough day of matches, home or away we all meet in town, for awards, drinks, games and dancing to celebrate. The social secretary Lara is dedicated to bringing you the best nights out with fancy dress, drinking games and lots of fun!!
At the beginning of term UWE Netball are hosting a welcome party. This year the welcome party is going to take place on Wednesday 7th October 2008. This is the perfect opportunity to get to know your team mates and join in on the fun. Please come along and bring flat mates, friends and anyone else you would like.
As Walkabout have offered us sponsorship for the 09/10 season, they are subsidising kit, drinks, tour, fees etc. Please show your appreciation and support for them by attending Wednesday night socials,
Around Christmas time it is an annual tradition with netball and football to hold a joint Christmas ball. This night celebrates the successes of the first half of the season with numerous awards. It also sees some interesting and slightly embarrassing awards being given out to some members of the Netball and Football squads. Along with a 3-course meal, it is a great excuse to get dressed up and let your hair down!
Varsity Day
One of the biggest and best days of netball is our VARSITY DAY! This is a great chance for us to play our rivals BRISTOL UNIVERSITY. It’s a good day to play netball and have a laugh! We have been successful in retaining the Netball Varsity trophy for FOUR years in a row, and we want you guys to come and help us continue our success!!
Each of our teams at UWE have their own Varsity match and we go along and support our UWE teams at Varsity by getting t-shirts printed and chanting the loudest. Rugby and Football Varsity are always a good night out and the more girls we get the louder we can sing!!!

Sports Awards Dinner
At the end of the sporting season there is the UWE Sports Awards Dinner, which is a formal meal where awards are given out to Sports Clubs for their achievement over the year. For the past 3years UWE Netball Club have received numerous awards form best club to best captain. It is a great night out for everyone and ends the year on a big high.
