So the term is now in full swing and I hope you are all getting to know roughly where you are meant to be and when!
Riding has now officially started in earnest with some keen beginners and advanced riders getting involved.
Beginner lessons at Gordano EC are going really well on a Wednesday evening with some real improvements seen already. We are in need of a beginner rider who also drives though so any volunteers? (Petrol costs are split so you won’t be out of pocket for driving.)
Intermediate and Advanced lessons will be starting in 2 weeks time so if you are interested get in touch with Rachel so she can let you know more details nearer the time. Please give Rachel some detail as to your level – experience, confidence …so we can group people of similar levels together.
Team trials for the BUSA teams have now been and gone and the standard of riding this year was exceptional – really exciting from a competitive view! Team training will now run every Saturday at Hartpury so all team members are ready and prepared to meet their opposition in December – February. For more on teams go to our team pages.
Socials at PoNaNa have been really great fun although numbers are down! Please come along! The club and atmosphere is great, entry and drinks are seriously cheap and with the Riding Club you are guaranteed a laugh! Make sure you let Laura know that you are coming so you can get on the guest list. Also just a reminder – EVERYONE IS WELCOME. Members, non members, boy/girlfriends, housemates, random strangers …. Just make sure you let Laura know names.
We are also running frequent guest nights with other clubs and societies – any ideas let us know. Future events include Drama, Skydive, Sailing …
Our first trip is running on Thursday 1st November 7pm to see the famous American Horse Whisperer Monty Robert and Kelly Marks in action at Hartpury College. Tickets £20. It is a really sensational event! If you are interested get in touch with me asap (
