description='These are some pictures taken from SkydiveUWE\'s first training weekend of the 2002/2003 academic year. Included are photos of various stages of the full days training required for the first jump static line course. We were fortunate enough to have our cameramen jump with the first time jumpers, and so video their exits. I have taken one of these exits and shown it in sequence, including landing, to show what can be expected on your first jump. Also included are some pictures of our qualified jumpers exiting the turbolet.';

info01='Doug warms up the students at the start of the day (...did i forget to tell them he used to be a drill instructor for the RAF?)';
info02='Nathan learns how to exit the plane... using our totally life-like (you mean to tell me thats not really a plane!?!) Simulator';
info03='Doug and Sam show James where his toggles will be when his parachute opens (and possibly what it feels like to be Spiderman)';
info04='Ifan, Peter, and Jeremy practice their drills using the "hanging harnesses", these are far more uncomfortable than the real thing... this is really where the blokes get the short end of the stick!';
info05='Mike leads the group in some Malfunction drills. They may look stupid... OK they DO look stupid, but this is the serious part of the day';
info06='ALL of our students hold out the Massive 288 Square Foot Canopy they will use. Really should have used my wide-angle lens on this one!';
info07='At 2000ft, instructor Doug prepares to throw the Wind Drift Indicator, which will tell us where when we need to exit the plane, so that we land on the Dropzone';
info08='Chris is about to exit the plane at 3,500ft... big grin!';
info09='Chris pushes away from the door, well almost.  I must ASSURE you, he really is still smiling!';
info10='With just three jumps till he attains his Skydiving licence, Matt gets in the door of the Turbolet like a seasoned pro';
info11='Mike exits the plane on a coaching dive with Nathan. I believe the only reason their exit went so well, was because they didnt know the camera was on them :)';
info12='Brett is giving the key to leave on a freefly dive, and looking far too cool in those blue reflective goggles i might add!';
info13='Ifan, Peter, and Edwin a matter of minutes after landing from their first ever jumps out of an aeroplane. If you ask me, they look a little lost for words';
info14='Jeremy sits confidently geeking us from the door of the Cessna 206, 3,500ft above the Dropzone';
info15='As he pushes away from the plane, he assumes his "Stable Spread" position. You can see the Static Line about to open his parachute';
info16='As the Static Line pulls the "Bag" from the "Container", you can see the lines of the parachute begin to deploy';
info17='Still in his "Stable Spread" position, the lines of the parachute have fully deployed and pulled the parachute out of the "Deployment Bag". Within 2 seconds, the parachute will be fully inflated above Jeremys head';
info18='3,500ft later Jeremy makes an impressive first landing.... now what you have to ask yourself is, "is he that fast, or was their a second cameraman on the grassy knoll?"';
