Hockey Facilities at UWE

The University of the West of England is home to one of the finest hockey facilities in the United Kingdom. As a key partner in the National Hockey Performance Centre Network and a home for a Junior Performance Centre, UWE Bristol is a hub for hockey in the South West of England. Outdoors the newly installed, fully irrigated FieldTurf Tarkett PUR surface is complemented by an FIH certified watering system comprising 6 rain guns and 4 pop-ups capable of delivering 18m3 of water in 10 minutes. International standard indoor hockey provision is available adjacent to the all weather pitch within the Centre for Sport complex. Already home to International squads and Indoor EHL competition, the fully sprung wooden playing surface is well recevied by all competitors. The competition standard lighting, seating provision for up to 250 and spectators balcony complement the playing surface.
